Let's do it again

First and foremost, we have found our summer theme song.
"Let's do it again" - J Boog.
Check it out.

California was a DREAM. Just what the doctor ordered. Thinking back on what we did, I realized it was fun stuff and all, but it was really the fact that I got to spend 24/7 with these lovely people. I am so lucky to have such awesome friends.

AND, Alex finished his first marathon. Woooohooooooo way to go! The course was oh so beautiful and the weather was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better first race.

Funny story. We were running and right when we passed mile marker 19, Alex turned to me and said...
"Cheryl, I think I hit my wall."
To which I replied, "Okay, how can I help you?"

Oh man, Alex you're the best.

Okay sidenote...
I went to the temple today and was sitting in the font area waiting for my turn. The brother in the font was baptizing very delicately and slowly, focusing on each word and pronouncing each syllable with care.
When my turn came up, they switched the brother in the font. He was a 300 lb tongan man and because he went so quickly, I got to do fifteen names instead of the normal five.
Wow.
It got me thinking. What is more important? Is there a right or wrong way to perform these ordinances?
In the church, there are many ways to go about things. There are some days when we have to show up, whip it out, and get as much work done as possible.
Contrastingly, there are some things that should be done gently and with deep thought and consideration
So yeah...Just made me want to evaluate how I do things, just a thought.

Have a great day :)

All Smiles

All smiles has become my slogan for Spring. I have started to remember what its like to have time to hang out with friends. So I am taking the opportunity to publicy apologize for my disappearance Winter semester. I'm back.

And now I'm off to LA for the weekend.

Alex and I are running the Palos Verdes Marathon and Cam and Alyssa are going to be there cheering us on! Ahhh I can't wait. I love roadtrips.
And running.
And my friends.
Someone sent me an email yesterday with this in it and it made me smile. Sometimes I love being short.

Have a wonderful weekend!

BFF'S

For those of you who didn't know, Harry Potter Seven (not seven and a half) was released a couple weeks ago.
Let's just say it has not been taken out of my DVD player. And let's not even talk about how many times I have fallen asleep on my couch watching it. Let's also not talk about how many times I have cried over this movie.
Or wait, we might just have to.
This scene sums up my obsession with Harry and the gang.

Dear Kim Schneider,

Lets go.

Kyle James !

...Happy Birthday to my best friend Kyle!

Freshman year homecoming rally, before they were my life's work, I participated in a game. I didn't know beforehand that this game entailed a boy eating marshmallows with no hands off of a necklace laying on my chest.
He was shorter than me. I was Mormon. We were freshman...IT WAS AWKWARD.

Nonetheless, this is how I met my best friend.

I could go on and on about high school stories: some crazy, some embarassing, some awkward, some sad...and many if not all of them had Kyle there with me or hearing every detail afterwards.

Here are some highlights...

Sophomore year New Year's Eve...best ever.

San Francisco!

So us, what can I say.

Senior Ball. So sad. I am a little in love with high school.

Now if only he would transfer to University of Utah...:)

Seasonal Depression

It's real. It could be the fact that during the sunny seasons there is no school, but I'm banking on the fact that it is the beautiful yellow ball of joy that changes my mood.
Thank goodness the sun is out.

I love Spring. And Alyssa.

Work, a surprise lunch date, a canyon run, and an inevitable Lakers win has made today a good day.
